A model of the clipper ship Hunter of Bath, Maine
circa 1900
the hull of the model is built up from the solid with a gold painted bottom, white waterline and black topsides. The decks of the model are mahogany which has been scored to look as planked. The model is well detailed including: anchors, windlass, pin and fife rails, hatches, deck houses, ship's boats, barrels, wheel davits, running lights, railings and other details. The model is rigged with three masts, standing and running rigging, cross spars, trees and tops and other rigging details. The model is mounted on a pair of cradles on a mahogany board.
