ONE SWORD SIGNED HENRY V. ALLIAN, ONE SIGNED SHANNON MILLER & CRANE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Each with engraved blade with two panels of fouled anchor, rope oak branch, American shield and anchor motifs, gilt brass hilt thirteen star and American eagle pommel cap, pierced oak branch USN guard and dolphin finial, two wrapped with sword-knot, twisted brass wire wrapped ray-skin bound grip, black leather sheath with three gilt brass mounts with twisted rope hangers and dolphin drag, variously etched; with an ebonized tin box with mark H.V. ALLIEN & CO NEW YORK
38 in. (97 cm.) long
One etched Louis M. Josephthal to blade and Presented by L.L. Marcell June 1922 to hang, another SHANNON, MILLER & CRANE NEW YORK, N.Y. to blade, the third L.M. JOSEPHTHAL and HENRY V ALLIEN & CO NEW YORK N.Y. to blade and with monogram LMJ to hang (4)
