Lot Essay

Bostock was a contemporary of Harold Cazneaux with whom he worked in the 1920s and 1930s. The young Max Dupain trained in Bostock's studio from 1930-33 before becoming famous. Bostock's studio contents were sold after his death in 1939 and some negatives were acquired by Dupain who made reprints from some. The above may possibly beh one of these reprints.
