THE FIRST CIRCA 1785, PRINTED BLUE Flight AND CRESCENT MARK, THE DERBY PIECES CIRCA 1810, IRON-RED CROSSED BATONS AND CROWNED D MARKS, THE JUG EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The first of lobed form and lozenge shape, painted to the centre with a dark-blue oval gilt with palmettes and radiating leaves, within broad bands of gilt flower-heads and ribbon entwined leaves, within gilt rims; the centrepiece lobed and of lozenge-shape form, painted with a border of iron-red and gilt fruiting vine and further sprigs, the two kidney-shaped serving-dishes similar; the baluster-shaped jug with leaf-moulded spout and handle terminal, painted with decorative bands of peonies, iron-red scroll-patterns and panels of Oriental scrolls and leaves (some light rubbing to gilding generally)
