The first cup painted in black with a rectangular scene of classical ruins, above a French inscription, decorated with two anthemion, reserved on a claret-ground, with richly-gilt handle with lion's head and fruiting vine terminals, the interior richly-gilt and the well titled A L'AMITIÉ, the saucer gilt with a pair of joined hands below a star, reserved on a blue shaped ground within a mottled black cartouche enriched with a tooled black band of berried laurel; the Meissen example, painted with a bouquet of flowers within a gilt quatrefoil cartouche, with gilt scroll handle; the Hutschenreuter example gilt with raised, suspended foliate garlands, the cup interior richly-gilt; the Rosenthal example gilt with a border of suspended husks, the interior richly-gilt (8)
