The initials MCB on the engraved plaque of this nécessaire de voyage are possibly for Marie-Julie Clary Bonaparte (1771-1845). Marie-Julie married Napoleon Bonaparte's brother, Joseph, in 1794. She was the Queen of Naples (1806-1808) and later the Queen of Spain (1808-1813).
