Shaped circular, on four paw feet with leaf joins, the molded border chased with scrolls, foliage and masks at intervals, the field chased with foliate scrolls, bird, baskets of flowers and animals on a granulated ground, the center engraved with crest and presentation inscription, marked on reverse, also with scratchweight 233 = 5
24 in. (61 cm.) diameter; 239 oz. 10 dwt. (7459 gr.)
The inscription reads: Presented to THE RIGHT HONOURABLE LORD COLWYN Chairman of the Flax Control Board 1917-1920 By His Friends and Colleagues in appreciation of HIS SERVICES TO THE STATE AND TO THE INDUSTRY 7th July 1920
