A rare Chinese imari ewer, Kangxi
the broad baluster body moulded with a horizontal raised rib and short square spout decorated with scrolling lotus, surmounted by a flat top pierced with a shaped aperture to one side, the central bracket handle modelled as two confronting dragons chasing the flaming pearl - 9½in. (24.1cm.) high.

A similar silver mounted ewer was sold in Christies Amsterdam, The Dutch Interior sale (2475), September 28th 2000, lot 255.
