In the manner of Adam Weisweiler, Attributed to Henry Dasson, Paris, Last quarter 19th Century
The inset Spanish brocatelle marble top above a scrolling acanthus frieze centred by music-making satyrs, the front with a narrow drawer, above the fall front inset with a lacquer panel decorated with a monkey seated in a tree, the sides each with a lacquer landscape view, the projecting front angles mounted with a basket-bearing caryatid, the inlaid interior with a gilt-tooled green leather writing surface and fitted with one large and one small compartment and with four drawers, the lower section with lacquered sides and drawer centred by a floral garlanded urn and cornucopiae escutcheon, the angles applied with flower-filled tripod urns, on drapery-festooned circular tapering fluted acanthus-sheathed front legs and square panelled rear legs, joined by an 'H'-shaped loop stretcher, on tapering frond-cast feet
