A fine Viennese silver, silver-gilt and enamelled cup and cover
Attributed to Hermann Böhm or Hermann Ratzersdorfer, Last quarter 19th Century
Modelled as a double-headed mythical bird, decorated inside and out with vignettes depicting mythological scenes, against an acanthus ground, the cover surmounted by a lute-playing minstrel, on hexagonal foot and shaped base applied with pierced foliage and mermaids sat in open scallop shells, no marks visible
20¾ in. (52.8 cm.) high
