Watkins, London. Early 19th Century
With ebony banding to the trunk, flanking a mercury thermometer under bowed glass, the cistern within spiral-twist cage, signed on its silvered scale Watkins/Charing Cross/London, the register plate also silvered and under bowed glass, with sliding Vernier scale and signed Watkins Charing Cross, with ebonised urn-shaped cover to boxwood cistern
