With circular foliate reservoir and finial above two branches with stylised palmette scrolls, the cluster-column support above a gothic ornamented octagonal base with foliate scroll feet, stamped 'Bright & Co. 37 Bruton St.'

A similar gothic lamp, with urn-capped pillar and fretted octagonal plinth, is at Chatsworth House, Derbyshire and bears the label 'Hancock & Rixon' of Great Marlborough Street (Temple Newsam House, 'Country House Lighting 1660-1890', Exhibition Catalogue, 1992, no. 72).
