Lot Essay

These tray-topped dumb-waiter stands, with Grecian reeded 'vase' pillars and scrolled 'claws' were designed en suite with the 'two top' waiter (Lot 871); and are inventoried in 1839 in the Dining Room as '2 Small Round Tables'.
