The slender oviform ewer decorated with two oval cartouches of exotic birds in flight and perched in branches, within gilt foliage borders, reserved on a turquoise-ground, the spout, rim and handle mounted in gilt-metal, the spout with a female mask and the handle with a dragon thumbpiece, the quatrefoil gilt-metal foot cast with scrolls, foliage and shells, on a circular wooden base, cracked through body
