At left depicting the winged wrathful deities of the Bardo within fiery aureoles surrounded by members of their retinue in an open landscape; bearing one line inscription at top of mount; the right painting depicting pacific deities of the Bardo with the main figures seated in yabyum on a colored lotus over a platform supported by white lions and surrounded by numerous smaller attendants, monks, and wrathful protectors, some figures floating on stylized horizontal clouds; inscribed on reverse at top of mount Shitro; both thangkas mounted on light blue silk brocade with pink butterflies, bamboo shoots and cherry blossom branches, with red and gold frames and central salmon colored silk panels embroidered with peonies and butterflies
