Each of shaped circular section with a gadrooned rim, engraved with the Royal Arms, the backs engraved with scratchweights and inventory numbers as well as the initials EDC and EA over Fs - 10in. (25.4cm.) diameter, 215oz.

The Royal arms with a label for difference are for H.R.H. Prince Ernst Augustus, Duke of Cumberland (1771-1851), later King of Hanover, fifth son of King George III of Great Britain and brother of King William IV. The initials on the reverse of the plates stand for 'Ernst, Duke of Cumberland' and 'Ernst Augustus Fidekommiss' which translated reads 'The entailled estate of Ernst Augustus'.

A set of ten plates from the Cumberland Service by William Frisbee, London, 1810, also from Parham Park, were sold Christie's London, 15 June 2004, lot 61.
