Mrs. James Smith Colburn (née Sarah Dunn Prince) was the daughter of Captain Job and Elizabeth (Cutler) Prince of Boston, Massachusetts. Captain Prince was an affluent ship-master who commanded the ship Massachusetts, at the time the largest merchant ship in America.
