Edo period (early 18th century), signed Sekishu ju kazusa daijo Minamoto Mitsushige and dated Genroku juroku nen nigatsu junana nichi (1703.2.17)
Of shinogi-zukuri configuration and iori-mune back with a koshi-zori curvature and chu-gissaki point and naginata-hi carved on both sides of the blade; mokume forging pattern with gunome choji midare tempered edge and a small rounded tip; tang unshortened with one mekugi-ana and taka no ha file marks; in wood storage scabbard
