The outer carrying case assembled from six circular panels, the four sides pieced to reveal the stacking box inside and the top decorated with a landscape in a central roundel and fitted with a silver loop handle, the exteriors of the outer case lacquered with lozenge patterns on a glossy black-lacquer ground, the edges lacquered fundame, the hinged front removable; the three-tier stacking box designed with roundels of landscapes in gold hiramaki-e on a reddish-orange ground; edges fundame
