The frame lacquered in red and black across opposite corners, the ends cut with overlapping rectangular apertures, the set comprising; a four-tier stacking food box decorated with autumn plants and dragonflies in gold lacquer on an alternating red and black ground, the cover applied with a cloisonné enamel floral lozenge; a rectangular sake container with decorative flanges on the top, a silver spout and lacquered to match the food box; a hexagonal food tray with gold-lacquer autumn plants on a black-lacquer ground; a small sake cup lacquered en suite to the sake container; brass loop handle with chrysanthemum bosses
