Of circular form with metal hinge at the bottom and designed in gold and silver takamaki-e with Hotei seated next to his treasure sack, the ground kinji and red lacquer highlighted with kimpun, the underside stylized floral scroll imitating carved lacquer in gold and black on a ground of gold and black fretwork, interior with a fan-shaped panel of a folding screen designed in gold lacquer on a gyobu-nashiji ground; rims metal and cords running through metal rings; fitted with a carnelian agate bead ojime and an ivory netsuke of two mice, inscribed Yoshiyuki
