A Four-Case Lacquer Inro**
Edo period (18th-19th century), signed Hasegawa Shigeyoshi saku and sealed Hashira on red jar seal
Of oval section and designed with two tigers in rocks and bamboo, the reverse with a Chinese sage fishing near a waterfall decorated in gold, silver, black and red takamaki-e and uchikomi on a kinji ground with highlights of inlaid crushed shell, kirigane and inlaid colored stones and gold, the interior cases nashiji; fitted with an amber bead ojime and an ivory netsuke of a long-haired dog on a bamboo mat
