A Four-Case Lacquer Inro**
Edo period (19th century), signed Kajikawa saku and Yanagawa Naotsune (for the metalwork) on an inlaid gilt-metal reserve
The inro of oval section and designed with a Noh actor in the role of Okina inlaid in gilt-metal, the reverse decorated with a lacquer Noh-mask box and fan lacquered in gold, silver and red takamaki-e, the clouds above in gold takamaki-e with kirigane, the ground roiro-nuri gradually changing to kinji at the bottom, interior cases nashiji; coral bead ojime and ivory netsuke of mice on a rice cake
