Each of octagonal form, ??ff. with 20ll. of minute ghubari within gold rule margin, the original lacquer bindings with floral spray on yellow ground, each in an octagonal steel case with openwork central basmallah and thuluth inscription around perimeter, the back and sides with engraved vegetal designs, traces of gilding, a two screw-in attachment loop on each side serving also to secure the cover
