OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1580
With sloping rim on short foot, the interior painted with central white cusped panel with green outline issuing two split palmettes within a large cobalt-blue fish-scale ground ogival cartouche contained within four pronounced red and white arabesques, flanked by green fish-scale panels, the rim with black and blue stylized wave and rock design, the exterior with alternating blue and green paired tulips and flowerheads, hole drilled in rim and foot, rim and foot slightly fritted, glaze in good condition
12¼in. (31cm.) diam.
