A SET OF THREE INLAID AND INSCRIBED PENDANTS
MUGHAL INDIA, 17TH/18TH CENTURY
Each of circular form, one of banded black agate, one of banded ochre agate, one of pale green nephrite jade, each with floral spray motif of rubies, diamonds and emeralds with gold inlay, each in a silver mount with two attachment loops above, each with an identical nasta'liq inscription on the reverse, a few gems missing
Each 1¼in. (2.7cm.) diam. (3)

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis

Lot Essay

Each is inscribed in nasta'liq with the same inscription which translates:
"I have faith in God, The Most High, The Supreme and I put my trust in The Living, The Self-Existing"
