Each from the same manuscript, gouache heightened with gold on paper, one depicting Alexander visiting a hermit in his cave, attendants play sitar, fill a ewer with water from the stream, one with a hawk on his wrist, the other depicting a unhorsing b in a mountainous landscape with attendant figures, panels with four columns of text in tiny black nasta'liq between gold rules on gold-sprinkled cream paper above and below, verso with four columns of text, one with additional page of text, remargined, extensive flaking
