ISFAHAN, LATE 17TH CENTURY
Gouache heightened with gold on paper, with enthroned prince beneath a tree, two courtiers on smaller thrones, two ladies seated on the ground and servants offering food and wine, with city beyond and gold sky, with four columns of nasta'liq at the top and the bottom, reverse with Persian verse and illuminated heading, slight flaking but otherwise in good condition
