An enamel patch box,
of oval form, the cover transfer decorated with a figure of the seated Britannia, an oval miniature of George III and a recumbent lion, all within the legend: Proud of her GEO III, Britannia rears Her Head and hopes he will reign many Years; and another oval patch box, painted to simulate a conch shell, inscribed Tho small this trifle may appear, Accept it and my Love Sincere, both late 18th/early 19th century -- 2¼in. (5½cm.) and smaller.
