An 18th Century Irish pudding slice
with turned wood handle and tapering cylindrical stem, the rounded triangular blade pierced and engraved with a basket of flowers, scrolling foliage and a stylised shell and with an applied shell mount, the reverse of the blade engraved with a monogram, maker's initials S.E. within a shaped punch, a cross between the letters, Dublin circa 1760.
