Provenance
The form of inlay on these boxes corresponds to a labelled box in the Victorian and Albert Museum, London, of similar geometric design including sadeli, micromosaic inlay of varying materials (see A. Jaffer, Furniture from British India and Ceylon, London, 2001, p. 321, fig. 136.
