Lot Essay

William Wilkinson and his cousin Thomas first started business at 9 & 10 Brokers Road, Moorfield, London in about 1790. In 1807 William left to take over the extensive premises of Quinten Kay at 14 Ludgate Hill, London and worked there until his death in 1833, at which time his sons took on the business.
