AN EARLY VICTORIAN MAHOGANY, SATINWOOD, TULIPWOOD AND PAINTED BREAKFRONT BOOKCASE
Second quarter 19th century, with alterations and embellishments
The dentil-moulded cornice above a faux-fluted frieze with a bowed central section flanked by crossed arrow and coronet carved blocks and further rosette inlaid panels to the frieze above arched astragal glazed doors enclosing satinwood fronted adjustable shelves between composite capped faux stop-fluted columns to the central section, the base with a central pair of bowed oval inlaid cupboard doors flanked by painted musical trophy panels and further oval inlaid cupboard doors to the wings, all enclosing further shelves raised on a moulded plinth base
