The gilt-brass dial with foliate spandrels to white enamel Roman and Arabic arcaded chapter disc, signed Jan Bernardus Vrythoff/Hagen hands now black painted, with central brass alarm setting disc, painted rolling moon above, strike/not strike lever, the twin wire fusee movement with Dutch strike on two bells (one broken) with two hammers, with five pillars, secured to the case through the lower pillars, the backplate engraved with foliate scrolls and a fruit basket, with pull alarm; within a rectangular glazed paneled case surmounted by a stepped bonnet with bail handle, over a waved apron on bracket feet, decorated overall with floral sprays and strapwork, decoration refreshed
