THE 1998 VINTAGE: RIGHT BANK, POMEROL AND SAINT-EMILION "The most important fact about 1998 is that this is a spectacular vintage for Pomerol and St.-Emilion, and to a lesser extent, Graves. Two years ago (March, 1999), I wrote unequivocally about the quality of these appellations. Now that the wines have been bottled, the St.-Emilions are performing even better than they did from cask. The Pomerols and Graves have also survived the bottling process in impeccable condition. Essentially, 1998 is a prodigious vintage for these three appellations, with many chbteaux producing their finest wines since 1990." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, Issue 134
