PRINCE FLORENT DE MERODE
A French nobleman whose family have owned the Château de Sirrigny since the 1700s has recently set about getting this estate up to the forefront of the two regions it has holdings in; Pommard and Corton. After settling at the Château in the mid 1950s, following a marriage to Alexandre de Lur-Saluces' (then owner of Château d'Yquem) sister serious work began in 1996 when the winemaking duties were handing to Didier Dubois. Quality since that vintage has been superb and continues to improve as each year passes by.
