WANLI, THE SILVER 19TH CENTURY; the dish Kangxi
The globular body painted with vertical panels enclosing cranes between a honey-comb pattern, applied to one side with a mammiform spout, the tall neck with a row of pointed ascending leaves below the widened head and narrow mouth, silver-mounted spout; and a blue and white dish, painted to the centre with a bird flying towards another perched on rockwork beside flowering peony, rim crack, 32.2 cm. diam.
