The spirited horses naturalistically modelled in full gallop with all four legs extended and hoofs off the ground, the male and female polo players seated firmly in the saddle with their bodies twisted at the waist and the arms positioned to strike, with brick-red, green, orange-red, black pigment, white slip and gilt, some restorations
