Rectangular, the sides and bases with engine turning, the cover with oak leaf and acorn border, engine turning, and a presentation inscription, the interior gilt, marked inside base and cover
3½ in. (8.8 cm.) long; 6 oz. 10 dwt. (208 gr.)
The inscription reads: Presented to Mr. Henry Ridler by his numerous Neighbors and Friends, in consequence of the excessive Tyranny exercised towards him by an Individual who had often sought his assistance in time of need, 7th Feby. 1848
