Shaped rectangular, on four scroll feet, the base engraved with strapwork and two pen troughs, supporting two shaped square inkpots with hinged covers and baluster finials, the central waferbox surmounted by a baluster-form taperstick with detachable waxpan, the inkstand engraved with a monogram, marked under base, on each pot, covers, taperstick and waxpan
