the arched case with flambeau urn surmount flanked by smaller finials, with caryatids terminating in foliate mounts to the sides, the blue and gilt painted dial within egg-and-dart bezel with individual Roman chapters and steel moon hands, with allegorical depiction of Time in the centre and ladies standing by a plinth below, the scrolling base centred by ribband and crested female mask, flanked by flowerheads, on hairy paw feet, the twin going barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell stamped HY MARC PARIS on the backplate -- 19¼in.(49cm.) high; and the pair of three-light side candelabra with twin scrolling part-writhen foliate branches and central sconce above supported on eagle heads
