A Napoleon III gilt-bronze and porcelain mantel clock
the arched case with urn surmount (chipped), with painted panels to the front and sides depicting castles in landscapes, with maroon borders, the dial with similarly painted centre with individual Roman chapters and gilt hands, with beaded bezel and foliate mounts, supported by a maiden in loose drapery, wreath handles to the sides, the breakfront cushion base with further floral mounts, lambeau sconces rising on reeded stems to the sides (one lacking), one rear foot lacking, the twin going barrel movement with strike on bell -- 19in.(48.5cm.) high
