The shaded rust-red field with an overall linked vase and pomegranate lattice design, in a polychrome cloudband border with an outer sky-blue angular vine stripe and a plain rust-red outer stripe, good pile throughout, overall excellent condition

More often associated with Yarkand, the design, which many refer to as a symbol of fertility, is slightly unusual in this particular piece as it only features one vase where often there are two, see lot 112.
