the square case with foliate spandrels surmounted by a bust of a woman with one breast exposed, flanked by figures of amorini with chains to greyhounds on the breakfront base below, trophy mounts to the front, with fluted frieze and painted Sevres style panel of cherubs, on beaded toupie feet, the painted porcelain dial with individual gilt Roman chapters, gilt moon hands, signed LENOIR A PARIS on the centre below a picture of Cupid, the twin going barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell to the backplate with repeat signature -- 18in.(41cm.) high
