ebony banded and satinwood line-inlaid, the parcel-ebonised swan-neck pediment with satinwood cornice, with applied ivory roundels and centred by a brass urn, with silvered dials, hygrometer above bayonet fixed thermometer to the trunk, the main register engraved with a foliate cartouche to the centre, the spirit level below signed L.
