A LATE CORINTHIAN POTTERY ARYBALLOS
CIRCA 575-550 B.C.
With large quatrefoil motif, lateral cross-hatched leaves, petals beneath, short rays below neck, concentric circles on broad flat rim, 2½ in. (6.4 cm.) high; a Protocorinthian flat-bottomed Geometric aryballos with fine line decoration, mid-7th Century B.C., 3 in. (7.6 cm.) high; a Subgeometric Late Protocorinthian ovoid aryballos with frieze of three dogs between sets of lines, rays around foot and rim, circa 625 B.C., 2 5/8 in. (6.8 cm.) high; and an Etrusco-Corinthian aryballos belonging to the Toronto sub-group of the Cycle of the Confronting Cocks, showing two animals, rosette infill, lines above and below, circa 575-550 B.C., 2 7/8 in.
