Lot Essay

From the same series as a drawing of Diana and Endymion sold at Christie's Paris, 21 March 2002, lot 117. The two drawings share the same size and technique. Two other sheets of similar style are in the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (E. Brugerolles et D. Guillet, Les dessins vénitiens des collections de l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Paris, 1990, nos. 38-9).
