With finely engraved nickel-finished lever movement with tourbillon escapement, 32 jewels, minute repeating on two gongs, the pink engine-turned dial with luminous Arabic numerals and hands, minute repeating indicator, aperture for the tourbillon regulator with blued steel serpentine seconds hand, in tonneau-shaped case with repeating slide in the band, glazed display back secured by four screws, together with an 18k white gold Franck Muller buckle, case, dial and movement signed

It is interesting to see that the three arms of the tourbillon carriage are shaped like swords with the tips converging at the centre, as the sword motif is often used in Chinese paintings and ceramics to ward off or cut through evil and bad spirits.
