Reference 5100 was launched by Patek Philippe in the year 2000 to celebrate the new millenium. It was the first watch the firm produced to feature a ten-day power reserve.

A total of 3100 pieces were produced: 1,500 in yellow gold; 750 in pink gold; 450 in white gold and 300 in platinum.
