A pair of Walton groups
modelled as the 'Flight to Egypt' and the 'Return from Egypt', facing left and right, each with the Virgin and infant Christ riding a donkey being led by Joseph, before flowering bocages on titled mound bases moulded with fans and applied with flowers and foliage, painted in colours, impressed banner marks to the reverse -- 7¼in. (18.4cm.) high, circa 1820-30 (each donkey with an ear missing, one with damage to bridal, chips and minor damages to bocages)
